You can "listen" fourier series by this application.
Fourier series can be composed intuitively by
-selecting frequency of base wave, and
-selecting amplitudes of base & harmonic wave.
Enjoy the sound of fourier series!
(ver. 2.0)
To be iPad/IPhone, iPodTouch universal app.
(Please note that no modifications are made on iPhone, iPodTouch version)
Whats new on iPad version

doesnt work
- starts japanese. Where is language setting ?
- no setting bar for frequency
- no setting bar for amplitude
- result: static japanese picture of straight lines.
Half a year ago it still worked. Something went wrong meanwhile. Quite a pity, was a nice tool.

no sound?
Huh? How do I play the wave form over the iPad speakers?
I can make a wave, but not listen to it?
It would seem an obvious functionality for this app.
Thank you
This is very interesting and a great tool for learning.
Awesome! But...
This a sweet little app to show how synthesis works. Also it produces some neat sounds. Ive been sampling frequencies into a keyboard to make instruments with, and the only thing id recommend for an update would be the option to dial in a specific frequency so people could produce musical notes easier.
Cute!
This is a cute little additive synth. Its good for old school computer music sounds. It would be cool if it had more choices, such as a noise generator. You can "scrub" the base freq and the amp of five partials, which is fun. The function generator has four waveforms.
